Encouraging tourists to engage in festivals and events creates a wealth of economic and social benefits to the local area – along with some pressures on local services and communities. Our studies of regional events in NSW have shown a range of social and economic benefits, with major events like Bluesfest delivering over $83 million to the Northern Rivers region*. Even smaller events like the Lismore Lantern Parade attracts approx 30,000 people and is estimated to contribute $3.4 million to the local economy *.

Event Evaluation Services
As events grow and develop event evaluation becomes more important to understand the impacts of the event, and to fully understand the needs of attendees. Destination Research offers a complete evaluation service for events and festivals which includes survey design, analysis and reporting. While data collection is controlled by the event manager, we take care of everything else from survey design to reporting.
Packages start from AUD$1500 for a visitor profile or visitor experience study, up to $3000 for an economic and social impact study.
